Kloothommel is a DIY-guitar band from Ghent, Belgium. They play catchy mellow-melancholic rock full of melodies and wayward song structures.

Seas Near Over is a raw, existential trip. Musically there are lo-fi influences from the 90's such as Royal Trux and Modest Mouse. Thematically the album is an ode to the days of being a young adult: "We have left our safe homeland, floating and staggering in our boat at sea while we travel through our turbulent years as twenty-somethings. We look back at the coast, while there are days of sun and days of storm at sea. We float past islands, hoping to set foot on land again."
