Deluxe Harvesting Drive is the second album by The Island Dwelling Birds Band, an experimental ensemble including a wide array of feathered members. On this album they hold onto the same ideology as displayed on their debut album Indian Canyon Thriatlon: Speed I. Their ideology is straightforward: creating, playing and recording are all supposed to be the same thing. During a three-day session in a 'chalet', they harvested all of the material collected on this album. Apart from creating, playing and recording, they also ate and took breaks. At lunch, the birds ate in silence, thinking about everybody that eats in silence. During breaks, they did mechanical repairs on their Daihatsu Hijet and played in the snow. A place outside of the chalet was designed for smoking breaks and so they did accordingly. The most memorable dish they ate was "Raclette", melted cheese with onion and pickles . According to one of the members of The Island Dwelling Birds Band, their new album can be labeled as "dangereux".
