Enjoy The Weekend is a new band of de portables-members Wio D'Hespeel and Bertrand Lafontaine. A band with a well-defined plan: each album must be written and recorded during one weekend, from Friday evening to Sunday evening, and… starting from a blank page. The first album is out now, exclusively on cassette from Gazer Tapes, and is unmistakably titled “October 22 > 24, 2021”. To clarify which weekend exactly an Ardennes fire was lit, and a stack of songs saw the light of day in one 48-hour stream of consciousness. Songs about sexting. Songs about ghosting. And songs about vitamins, lots of vitamins. Enjoy the week!

Enjoy The Weekend is een nieuwe band van de portables-leden Wio D’Hespeel en Bertrand Lafontaine. Een band met een welomlijnd plan: elk album moet worden geschreven en opgenomen gedurende één weekend, van vrijdagavond tot zondagavond, én…vertrekkend van een maagdelijk wit blad. Het eerste album is nu uit, exclusief op cassette bij Gazer Tapes, en heeft de niet mis te verstane titel “October 22 > 24, 2021”. Kwestie van meteen te weten tijdens welk weekend precies een Ardens haardvuur is ontstoken en er een stapel songs het levenslicht zagen in één 48-uur lange stream of consciousness.
